Our Approach

We believe a holistic approach to skin care is best. We pay attention to your overall health while treating skin conditions. We also perform cosmetic treatments, including Botox, filler, peels, sclerotherapy, treatment of melasma, treatment of hyperhidrosis and more for patients in Alamo Heights and the greater San Antonio area.My hope is that you will leave my office happy with the skin you are in, and remember that you are beautiful just the way you are.

  When it comes to the treatment of aging skin, we believe “slow and steady wins the race.” The day is gone when big face lifts were the only option for tightening sagging skin. There is amazing technology, experience and knowledge at our fingertips. We can restore youthful, vibrant skin or maintain young skin before damage takes place. Our goal is a healthy, age defying look that looks NATURAL and does not distort a patients God given features. To accomplish this, patient education is key and careful, individualized treatments are chosen for each unique skin type, bone structure, budget and lifestyle.

• Infants & Children

  We love caring for our littlest patients and their families. All parents and caregivers need encouragement as well as information and guidance.The Hughes Clinic strikes a balance between all three. We are well trained in creating a comfortable environment for kids and understand the anxiety doctor visits can create. We pull out all the stops to make sure your little one feels cared for and safe. All procedures are done thoughtfully with pain control in mind. We use distraction techniques such as our therapy doggy, bubbles, walks outside, our famous “doctor bag” prize or extra encouragement and hugs.

• Teens

  The Hughes Clinic loves our teens! Smack dab in the middle of figuring out how to be autonomous but still honor their parents and caregiver(s), teens give us a great opportunity to pour out encouragement, empowerment and education. For whatever reason, dermatology visits are a great time to practice speaking up, taking responsibility and receiving unconditional love from a team that genuinely cares. We see teens for everything from acne to eczema to serious skin diseases to skin cancer to laser hair removal or just early cosmetic questions.
