We participate in the following insurance plans: Aetna, Blue Cross, United Healthcare, First Health, Texas True Choice, PHCS and coming soon is Humana.

Do you take patients who do not have insurance?
Yes, we take patients that do not have insurance.

Do you see both children and adults?
Yes, we see infants, kids, teens and adults.

Do you take Medicare?
No, we are not participants in the Medicare plan. We still see Medicare patients, but they will pay our cash fee schedule “out of pocket.”

Are you related to another Dr. Hughes in San Antonio?
Yes, Dr. Elizabeth Hughes’ dad is Dr. Philip Hughes who is also a dermatologist; Dr. Hughes’ mom is Dr. Jane Hughes who is an ophthalmologist.
